Racquet Sports Racquet Sports

Whether it’s tennis, racquetball or pickleball you’re passionate about, if you live to play with a racquet in your hand Tallahassee is a wonderful place to spend a weekend. The city’s park system was recently voted America’s best, and many of those parks feature courts that are either free to use or available for a minimal fee (with discounts for those 62 and over, students and youth). They’re well kept, often lit for night play, and some facilities feature pro shops and instructors on site as well. Winthrop Park, Tom Brown Park and the Forestmeadows Park & Athletic Center are the city’s most prominent racquet sports locations, offering a combined 37 lighted courts (including 14 clay courts at Forestmeadows) 17 racquetball courts (14 outdoor, 3 indoor), and 4 outdoor pickleball courts as well. Before or after your match, Tallahassee also offers delicious dining options, refreshing craft breweries and plenty of other things to see and do, so spend some time playing in and roaming around Tallahassee soon.
