| Created in 1983, Tallahassee Writers' Association, Inc. is a comprehensive writers association with 100 plus active members, more than forty of which are published in fiction and non-fiction. We hold information and writer support meetings every fourth Thursday evening and annual writers' conference/retreat. TWA holds book launches for members and participates in community arts events through COCA and others. Our members conduct annual school visits, Young Writers' conferences in area school and judge poetry slams in public libraries. TWA conducts annual poetry, short-story, essay and play writing contests, produces the plays of winners and publishes two journals every year. |
