A community outreach program for young men ages 8 to 18 from public and private schools throughout Tallahassee. The Boys’ Choir prepares young men for the twenty-first century through music, discipline, and academic excellence. With its motto “No Excuses,” the choir continues to grow in popularity on the local, state, national and international level. The choir has performed throughout the United States and abroad.
Every Saturday from March through November, Ponce de Leon Park comes alive. Celebrated local musicians play their music on stage, authors and poets present readings, and regional artists show their arts and fine crafts, while local farmers offer Mother Nature’s best. Special events bring hands-on art activities for children or sneak previews of upcoming cultural events.
Hop on the First Friday Gallery Hop shuttle and enjoy a three-hour tour, sampling a variety of local art at multiple locations; or spend an evening at Railroad Square Art Park and enjoy 30+ art galleries and artist studios, live music, druming circle and more.
