Golf

Although Tallahassee is known for being the capital of Florida, and home to two major universities with powerhouse team sports programs, one cannot overlook the outstanding golf courses available to play in the area. The southern climate and rolling hills of Tallahassee create a picturesque backdrop, similar to Augusta that is perfect for golf enthusiasts of all age and skill level. The lush North Florida landscape includes pine forests, moss-draped live oaks, hammocks, azaleas, creeks, streams and lakes and is complete with amazing wildlife spotting.

In Tallahassee alone, there are four public, three private and two semi-private courses sure to please any golfer with available tee times and affordable rates. With the majority of the courses just minutes from the heart of downtown, courses are very accessible and wait times between holes are minimal insuring a chance to slip in a quick round during your visit. Just a short drive away in our surrounding counties, four additional courses course await your challenge. Tallahassee’s courses can be played any time of year, and this is reflected in the many amateur and charitable tournaments held year round at all of the courses
