Hilaman Golf Course is a par 72, eighteen hole municipal course located on Blair Stone Road in the heart of Tallahassee. Formally Winewood Country Club, the golf course was purchased by the City of Tallahassee in December of 1981 and in 1999 Hilaman completed the renovation of all greens, tees and bunkers. Named for former City Commissioner Sheldon Shad Hilaman, the park offers other amenities such as tennis courts, driving range, 19th Hole snack bar, and a golf pro shop.
Acquired by the City of Tallahassee in 1981 and re-opened for play in 1982, Hilaman Golf Course has been the City’s favorite public golf facility for a generation. Our par 72 course winds through some of the city’s most beautiful landscapes as it challenges golfers of every age. The Jake Gaither Golf Course is a nine hole, par 36 with a course/slope rating of 69.8/127. The course offers a pro shop with golf merchandise and snack items, a practice putting green, and rental clubs. The entire course, was renovated in 1998 and the additional teeing areas makes the course very enjoyable for all level of golfers.
