Outdoors & Nature

Florida’s Capital City is blessed with an abundance of natural wonders and year-round outdoor activities. All four seasons bring different flora and fauna. Nestled in the Red Hills bio-region in the Panhandle, Tallahassee boasts topography unlike any other in Florida and is one of the most biologically-diverse regions in the United States. In fact, The Nature Conservancy considers this area to be one of “America’s Last Great Places.” Whether by land or water, breath-taking landscapes, incredible wildlife and recreational activities abound for outdoor enthusiasts, explorers, trail-blazers and adventurers of all types to feed their soul here…or claim serious bragging rights.

A Friendly “Green” Reminder
As you explore our natural areas please Leave No Trace.
We locals love how green Tallahassee is today and wish to preserve this special place for generations to come. Thank you.
