Final Week to Skate at the Fairgrounds!
Public Skating Continues Through Jan. 13
Local skaters – take notice. One more week of skating on the City’s portable synthetic ice rink will be held throughout the week at the North Florida Fairgrounds, with the final session taking place on Sunday evening, Jan. 13. The rink is housed in the "Green Room," the first building on the left side of the complex once inside the Fairgrounds (enter off S. Monroe Street for rink parking).
Sponsored by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and Tallahassee Friends of Our Parks Foundation, Inc., the portable skating rink has hosted public skating sessions since Dec. 15. An hour of skating, plus ice skate rental, is only $6. The rink will continue to appear in future years during the winter holiday season, and may be used at other venues throughout the year. The rink’s standard schedule is as follows:
Monday - Friday: 3:30pm-8:30pm
Saturday: 11am-8:30pm
Sunday: 2pm-8:30pm
The rink is still available during the final days for private parties, 8:30pm-11:30pm at $400 for two hours, or $500 for three hours. For more information, please contact the City’s Parks and Recreation Department at 891-3866, or visit online at Talgov.com.
