"Get out & See Tallahassee"
Invites Residents to be Tourists for a Day
Saturday, May 12, 2007
Tallahassee, Fla. – May 1, 2007 – In honor of National Tourism Week, the Tallahassee Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is once again hosting Get Out & See Tallahassee. The program will take place throughout the day Saturday, May 12, 2007 and consists of area attractions, parks and museums opening their doors for free to the local community.
Developed as a way to promote tourism in Tallahassee, Get Out & See Tallahassee is based on the idea that educating the local public on what’s available in Tallahassee will help encourage them to share this information with visiting friends, relatives, business associates, and others. "By providing an opportunity for the local community to go out and experience the many wonderful museums, exhibits and great outdoor attractions that are located in their own back yard, residents will become our greatest ambassadors. Who better to tell our story than those who live here?", says Sharon Liggett, President/CEO of the Tallahassee Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
