The Tallahassee Sports Council is a division of the Leon County Division of Tourism Development (Visit Tallahassee) and serves as the official sports marketing and management organization for the Leon County / Tallahassee area.
Our mission is to generate positive economic impact through hosting successful sporting events with our community partner facilities. The Sports Council markets the community as an ideal destination for sporting events through utilizing the community’s natural and manmade attractions.
Services range from organizing events to awarding grant money, to assisting with logistics, hospitality, housing, funding, transportation, venue selection and public relations. This degree of involvement is credited, in large part, to the dedication and expertise of Tallahassee Sports Council committee members, hundreds of volunteers and cooperation from local government and private venue operators.
