Welcome to The Great Outdoors. Tallahassee and the surrounding areas have many lakes to explore.

Lake Iamonia

Lake Iamonia, loacted to the Northeast of Tallahassee covers over 5,700 acres.  This lake is seven miles long and two miles wide.  It is shallow with an average depth of five feet.  It is located in the Tallahassee Red Hills Region, just south of the Georgia border.  There are two landings around this lake.  The Van Brunt Landing is located in the Kate Ireland County Park, which is located on Iamonia Landing Road.  This park offers a picnic shelter, restrooms, nature trails, and a boat ramp.

Recreational Activities:  fishing, paddling

Fees:  None

Directions from I-10: (2 Landings) 
Bull Headley Landing: Take exit 203 and head north on Thomasville Road, US 319.  Go approximately 4 miles to Bannerman Road and take a left.  Take a right at Bull Headley Road, which will dead end at the landing.

Kate Ireland Park/Van Brunt Landing: Head north on Thomasville Road, US 319.  Go approximately 12 miles to State Road 12 and take a left.  Take a left on Iamonia Landing Road, which will dead end at the landing.
