Garden Clubs

Tallahassee Garden Club

The Tallahassee Garden Center was built in 1840 for Henry Rutgers, and purchased in 1954 by the Tallahassee Garden Club.  After extensive restoration and renovation in 1969, today it remains one of Tallahassee's historic treasures.

The original ballroom was enlarged to accommodate 100 people and a stage added for more functional use as meeting space.  The house also boasts a large parlor, dining room, modern kitchen, sunroom, and a large deck and patio area in beautiful landscaping for outside events.  Gifts from circles, individuals and memorials have provided many lovely furnishings.  Ample parking allows the center to be used for large teas, receptions and other community activities.

This central location has become a desired location for club and community events and is available for private functions.  Resident managers are on-site to provide more information.  Please call them to schedule your coming event(s).
