A Full Summer: A community event to help feed local kids during the summer months
Jun 01, 2013
A FULL SUMMER is a community event where volunteers assemble meals to be distributed by Second Harvest to needy children of the Big Bend. Many of the recipients of this food are on free or reduced lunch during the school year, so this food is especially vital when school is out of session. There will be two shifts available to volunteer at St. John's Episcopal Church. One from 9 until 11 am and the other from 1 until 3 pm. A $50.00 donation which will purchase 200 meals is requested, but not mandatory to participate. Children as young as 8 may volunteer and we'll accept adults of any age! For more information, please visit, www.saint-john.org. Please join us in helping our neighbors!
