Juvenile began recording raps at the age of 19, releasing his debut album, Being Myself, in 1995. He became a mainstream star in 1998 with the release of his album 400 Degreez. The album's first single "Ha" and later "Back That Azz Up" both became very successful songs, charting on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. With the success of those two singles, 400 Degreez became certified 4X platinum by the RIAA and remains Juvenile’s bestselling album to date. Other hit songs of his include “Slow Motion”, “Bounce Back”, “Set it Off”, “U Understand”, and “Follow Me Now”.
Scarface’s solo career took off in 1991 with the release of his debut album, Mr. Scarface Is Back. He then went on to release ten other albums. His sixth album, The Last of a Dying Breed, earned him the Lyricist of the Year Award at the 2001 Source Awards.
After signing with Slip-n-Slide Records in 1996, Trick Daddy’s debut album Based on a True Story was released, starting his journey into mainstream success. In 2004, his hit single “Let’s Go” reached #7 on the Hot 100, #4 on the Rhythmic Top 40 and #4 on the Hot Rap Tricks. Trick Daddy is also known for his collaborations with artists such as Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins, DJ Khaled and Pitbull.
The hip hop duo 8 Ball & MJG released their debut album, Comin’ Out Hard, in 1993. They have since released eight subsequent albums. Their hit songs include “Space Age Pimpin” and “Stay Fly”, a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia that peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
