And there's more ...
Each spring, LeMoyne hosts the renowned Chain of Parks Art Festival under the magnificent oak trees protected downtown along Park Avenue. The next festival, which attracts artists and art-lovers from around the nation, is April 21-22 2018.
LeMoyne was founded in 1963 by four community leaders: Mary Metzke, Clifton Lewis, June Strauss, and Nanette Fisher. Their goals were to establish a fine art gallery and venue for art education activities for the citizens of North Florida. LeMoyne is housed in a restored 1854 Antebellum home – the Meginniss-Munroe House – located downtown on half a city block with another historic property, an education building for year-round art classes; and a sculpture garden.
The center has five gallery rooms for changing exhibitions, a Gallery Shop, and a ceramics lab.
