The Best Slices Tally Has to Offer

Let’s face it: everybody loves pizza. Tallahassee is home to many one-of-a-kind pizza places that feature amazing and mouth-watering takes on pizza — here are a few local favorites that you’re sure to love.

Momo’s Pizza

This popular pizza joint is known for its enormous pies and slices. Walk into the low-lit, casual atmosphere where the walls are covered in various music, sports, and beer paraphernalia. Take a seat and order yourself one of Momo’s famous “slices as big as your head”. Momo’s guests often take pictures with their pizza before eating, just to show their friends how big these slices really are.

Gaines Street Pies

These pizzas are pretty super. This retro, comic book-themed restaurant is known for their homemade ingredients and wide assortment of some of the most wildly-delicious pizza pies you’ve ever heard of. Build your own unique creation or choose from the long list of Gaines Street’s specialties (characteristically divided between “Heroes” and “Villains”).

Decent Pizza

Don’t let the name fool you — this pizza is way more than decent. The Midtown pizzeria keeps it simple with plenty of your classic favorites like meat-lovers, veggie, margherita and more, while offering draft beer specials Sunday – Wednesday night. If you’re in the mood for some good ol’ fashioned pizza with lots of gooey cheese, plenty of toppings, and a satisfyingly crispy crust, Decent Pizza is your go-to.

Dave’s Pizza Garage

Drive on up to Dave’s Pizza Garage, a family-owned pizza place that’s more than just delicious pizza; they are also known for their wings, as well as appetizers, pasta, and sandwiches. It’s a fun, family-friendly setting perfect for Friday pizza nights with the kids!

Brickyard Pizzeria

Feel right at home at this cozy, family-friendly pizza place. Many say that the best experience is dining in because not only do you get to enjoy delicious, high quality pizza, but you can also relax with a beer or glass of wine, greeted by friendly staff and even lunch deals starting at only $6. Brickyard is also great for other Italian foods including pastas, sandwiches, and calzones.

Isabella’s Pizzeria Napoletana

Venture over to CollegeTown for some mouthwatering, authentic Italian pizza! This place has a stylish, relaxed atmosphere and a menu full of high quality, delicious toppings for their pizzas, including prosciutto, arugula, and fresh, homemade mozzarella. The best part? Their homemade gelato offered in many flavors. This is truly a little slice of heaven (and Italy).

Centrale Italian Parlour

CollegeTown is also home to Centrale – an Italian Parlour with a fresh edge. Their motto is simple, “Crazy good food, approachable wines and a table of friends to share it with.” From lunch, brunch, happy hour, to dinner Centrale offers pizza for any occasion. Some of their signatures include Ceaser Milano (a pizza topped with Ceaser salad), the Old School Square (margherita pizza), and even specialty apps like Risotto Balls.
