Another Excuse to Eat Burgers

Although many claim the title, the actual origin of the hamburger can’t be linked to any one inventor or continent.  Some profess that it is a uniquely American creation, while others trace its roots to Germany.  However, people have enjoyed the juicy, beef patties on a bun since the early 1900s.  In fact, the popularity of this sandwich inspired one of Jimmy Buffet’s best known songs, “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”

The Tallahassee Burger Trail, featuring signature burgers from 19 participating restaurants --  each offering its own interpretation of this American classic, but may include bacon and cheese of course, along with creative accents like fried avocado, pulled pork or even cole slaw – giving patrons another excuse to indulge.

Join in the fun by visiting one (or all) participating restaurants, order a burger and post pictures on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram using #TallyBurgerTrail and #IHeartTally.
