The Council on Culture & Arts’ (COCA) Outdoor Public Art Directory offers a view of the iconic, historic and quirky works of art that enhance the area’s natural beauty. The directory includes more than 170 public sculptures, murals, windows, memorials and monuments. For a refreshing and healthy sampling of public art, consider COCA’s Downtown Public Art Walk.
The three-mile stroll through downtown features more than 30 artworks and includes leaping dolphins, a tribute to the earliest residents, the local Civil Rights movement, war memorials and an iconic beach ball.

In addition to art outdoors, the Artport Gallery and the City Hall Gallery feature local art exhibits.
Located in the lobby near the main entrance to the terminal at Tallahassee Regional Airport, the Artport Gallery serves as a cultural gateway to Florida’s Capital City. It showcases the work of established local and regional artists in all media, primarily solo or two-person shows on display for six to eight weeks. The gallery is open to the public daily from 8:00 am – 11:30 pm; admission is free.
Located downtown, the Tallahassee City Hall Gallery offers a diverse selection of group exhibitions by regional and local artists, including several juried large group shows on display for six to eight weeks. The gallery is located on the second floor of Tallahassee’s City Hall, and is open to the public from Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm; admission is free.
