The 10th Annual Florida Wine Festival ~ Benefitting The Mary Brogan Museum of Arts and Sciences ~ May 11, 2012

The Florida Wine Festival in Tallahassee

What better way to support The Brogan Museum than over good wine and food, and with good friends?  It's that much anticipated time of year again...Time to round up friends and drink some wine for a good cause!  This year's fundraising event is particularly important as monies raised will go toward reinventing and reopening the museum.  The board of directors is working hard to make this happen for our community, so let's do our part to help them and have some vino!

Wine Tasting at The Florida Wine Festival in Tallahassee

Of course the wine will be wonderful, and local Tallahassee restaurant Mozaik will provide the fabulous food.  Plus, for even more excitement, the event will have silent auction items to bid on, too!  Tickets to the Friday night event, which will run from 7-10pm, are $50 each, and may be purchased ahead of time by visiting www.thefloridawinefestival.com, or you may also purchase them at the door.

Cultural Expert

Rebecca Harrell chose to make Tallahassee her home over twenty years ago after earning a degree in Advertising/Graphic Design from The University of Alabama.  She started her career in graphics, but soon discovered painting was her true passion, and opened a retail shop in Betton Place to sell her art.   As a professional artist, she has licensed her designs to companies for all types of products for more than 15 years.  In order to work from home, while her kids were small, she started and still maintains a website dedicated to selling her work.  She is an active community volunteer, and along with her husband, Tallahassee native Kye Harrell, is a busy parent of two teenage boys.  Rebecca also produces and maintains an entertaining blog for local tabletop & fine gift store My Favorite Things.  When she isn't painting, cooking, eating or writing about them all, you'll find her driving all across the Southeast to watch her kids compete in crew regattas for Tallahassee's team, Capital City Rowing.
