Dorothy B. Oven Park is a very special spot for our family; it's where we take our family pictures for Christmas and even the spot my husband asked me to marry him. Seeing all the lights and beautiful holiday decorations up at this time of year also make this a popular destination for lots of residents and visitors alike in Tallahassee.
On December 18th Dorothy B. Oven Park will be hosing their annual Elf Night where you can walk through the park and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate-not to mention all the spectacular lights and decorations. Rumor has it that Santa may show up to check in on things and visit with children and this may be one of his last stops before heading up to the North Pole for the year. On this special night cars won't be able to drive through the park, but can park at the Thomasville Road Baptist Church just south of the park and walk over.
The festivities start at 5:30pm and run until 9:00pm; the park is very stroller friendly and I know we're looking forward to loading up and trying to catch Santa one more time this year! For more information and directions click here.
