VooDoo Dog
Enter this industrial purple warehouse in the All Saints District off Macomb Street in Tallahassee and you'll feel immediately transported back to the 80's. Alternative music plays over the sound system (we were greeted by a Ramones song upon arrival) and pop memorabilia surrounds you.
This place is seriously cool, and the food is amazingly creative, too. You can't imagine the list of interesting and innovative toppings they offer for your hot dogs (and burgers). I had the Tijuana dog. A deep fried hot dog, wrapped in bacon and topped with guacamole and sour cream, yum! But it isn't just about the food. It's the whole 80's cultural experience. See for yourself...but not on Mondays, they're closed. Have lunch any Tuesday through Saturday, or dinner any Tuesday through Friday. A great meal for under $10 - with a side of 80's pop culture at no extra charge!

Rebecca Harrell
Cultural Expert
Rebecca Harrell chose to make Tallahassee her home over twenty years ago after earning a degree in Advertising/Graphic Design from The University of Alabama. She started her career in graphics, but soon discovered painting was her true passion, and opened a retail shop in Betton Place to sell her art. As a professional artist, she has licensed her designs to companies for all types of products for more than 15 years. In order to work from home, while her kids were small, she started and still maintains a website dedicated to selling her work. She is an active community volunteer, and along with her husband, Tallahassee native Kye Harrell, is a busy parent of two teenage boys. Rebecca also produces and maintains an entertaining blog for local tabletop & fine gift store My Favorite Things. When she isn't painting, cooking, eating or writing about them all, you'll find her driving all across the Southeast to watch her kids compete in crew regattas for Tallahassee's team, Capital City Rowing.
