Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is an 1890 land-grant institution dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, resolution of complex issues and the empowerment of citizens and communities. Tallahassee Community College serves more than 14,000 students in university transfer and career preparation programs. Approximately 75 percent of TCC’s Associate in Arts degree graduates go on to a state university within one year, and TCC is the largest feeder school for FSU and FAMU. The College offers career degrees and certificates in health care, computer and information technology, criminal justice and public safety, business and management, education, engineering technology, and manufacturing. The Florida Public Safety Institute, located in Quincy, Florida, offers entry-level and advanced training in law enforcement, firefighting, public safety and criminal intelligence.
